My husband loves eating snack wraps from a certain fast food place, but oftentimes they are small and two of them is just a snack- and a pricey snack at that! Sometimes I make him homemade snack wraps but I don’t like to call them snack wraps, because mine are bigger and much more filling! Instead, we call them Chicken Ranch Lunch Wraps.
Chicken Ranch Lunch Wraps
Chicken Nuggets or Breaded Chicken Patties (Cooked and Cooled)
Put a large spoonful of ranch on the tortilla, spread it around so that every bite will have some ranch in it.
Lay out your lettuce so that it covers the ranch, and lay the chicken down.
Sprinkle with cheese, then wrap. Hold wrap together with a toothpick if needed.
A couple of these snack wraps make a great lunch- it’s tasty enough that my husband won’t go out and buy something instead! If I can make him great lunches at home it saves us alot of money on going out to eat, plus it’s a tiny bit healthier than what you would buy at a restaurant.
Yesterday when I went grocery shopping I had alot of ambition for cooking this week. I went home and prepared what I could for this week’s lunches, and wrote up this week’s meal plan. Hopefully because it’s pretty easy (and written down!) I can stick to it. Do you use a meal plan and actually stick to it?

Breakfast Choices: Waffles, Pancakes, Cereal, Muffins and Pop Tarts
Sometimes when I go grocery shopping I have alot of ambition. Today was one of those days. I bought alot of stuff that needs to be cooked and prepared, and lately I haven’t had the energy to cook and prepare anything.
I did come home and get things ready for a few of my husband’s lunches. I put all of his snacks into bags, and tied them with bright pink ribbon for Valentine’s Day! Hopefully he doesn’t have to eat lunch in front of his co-workers any time soon!
I also quickly put together some homemade lunchables. I almost bought lunchables because I was craving them, and I was thinking they would be a good idea for my husband’s lunch but I also thought about how I would eat 3 or more of them.
These lunchables took almost no time at all to put together, and they are bigger portions than store bought lunchables. They are small still and really would only be a snack, but these plus the other snacks I put in his lunch is enough to tide him over until dinner time.
Thick Lunch Meat
Plastic to wrap meat in
Slice the lunch meat into cracker size portions. Wrap it in plastic wrap to keep the moisture from ruining the crackers.
Add the plastic wrapped lunch meat to the plastic bag along with a couple slices of cheese and half a sleeve of crackers.
This Italian Chicken Pasta is a meal that I make on nights before we go anywhere- whether it’s work, school or road trips it taste great the first night when it’s warm but even better the next day after being chilled. It’s easy to throw into a lunch box with some ice packs.
15 Minute Supper: Italian Chicken Pasta
Recipe Type: Dinner
Jarred Minced Garlic(Optional)
Oil(Optional, goes with garlic)
Italian Salad Dressing
Noodles (I usually use thin spaghetti but this time I am using rotini)
Shredded Chicken (Canned, Frozen or Leftover)
Cook and drain your noodles.
Heat oil in the same pan that you cooked your noodles in, and cook garlic in it for a few minutes. Toss in Italian Dressing and shredded chicken. Let it cook for a few more minutes and then add the noodles and stir everything in until it is well mixed. Serve hot or let it cool and refrigerate, then it can be served cold.
