National Beer Can Appreciation Day {Can Crafts}

I recently have been on a kick to find some small way to take notice of some of the odd holidays that exist. I’ve been pinning them and projects that go with them on my Interesting Holidays board on Pinterest. Yesterday the coolest odd holiday was National Handwriting Day. I wanted to write some letters to celebrate, but the most I hand-wrote was my list of stuff to do! Not only is today National Beer Can Appreciation Day, but it’s also National Give Someone A Compliment Day and National Peanut Butter Day.

Last month, before Christmas I noticed that everyone on my Uncle’s street had a nice wreath out, so I went and told him he needed a wreath. His first reaction was to laugh and say absolutely not, but once I told him I was making it out of Beer Cans he was excited to join in the festivities.

My favorite can craft I have yet to make out of a beer can. I love this Coke Can Necklace I made awhile back. I have it on a keychain now, because I have a tendency to break necklace chains.

Coke Can Necklace TutorialIn the past I have made all sorts of different can bracelets, but I couldn’t find a picture of one I made from a beer can either. My favorite of these was my Cherry Dr. Pepper Bracelet, but I will always still love the original Coke Can Bracelet too!

  1. Cute idea. I have to admit we have lots of soda and beer cans we recycle. I just may have to take a few.
